Our athletes carry the banner of OLLC Blue Sharks? Why?
The color blue has many connotations. Blue signifies peace and
tranquility, if we are to consider our national flag. Blue was used to
signify union forces in the Civil War, or as we may say so, the Blue
Coats or the Union Army. Blue is also used to imply aristocracy, if
the expression "blue blood" comes into mind. If we are to hear the
term "Blue Laws", blue means morally rigorous and strict.
Sharks are one of the most feared water creatures. When its
dorsal fins are insight, it indicates danger, causes terror and
commotion to those who sees it. Sharks are also members of the
fastest swimmers in the ocean. The said fastest fish travels 68.18 mph
while a Blue Shark swims 65 mph. Sharks has extraordinary
characteristics that defend its supremacy. He has numerous fins to
give him speed, powerful senses and sensory organs used for his hunting
and protection.
The Shark's presence alone signifies respect & dignity. As he smoothly
moves, strength is evident on his graceful body; we could only look in awe.
The shark does not even try to ask from anyone for veneration. He doesn’t
try, he will. His killer instinct will push him from slow to fast, & very sure
with himself his motive is only to kill. He is built for the kill; his natural
instinct is to win.
An OLLCian Athlete is fit to carry the Blue Shark Banner. OLLCians are unified,
disciplined, and noble. But like a shark, the OLLCian instinct dictates
superiority. We can be swift but we can be tender. We are proud to be an
OLLCian as the shark is proud to show its fin. Our banner implies danger, for we
are not quitters, we are predators. We do not plead for respect, we earn it. Why
OLLC Blue Sharks? Because we are jaws of death, we end your dream to be
supreme. We are cold blooded winners.
